CLASS DESCRIPTION:

In these three hour classes, students receive guided instruction on one or more independent projects. This is ideal for those who want to dive deeper into a specific topic, are looking for extra studio time, or have an idea for a large painting or series. Students will also have the opportunity to display their work in Somerville Open Studios, on April 4 and 5. The class is open to anyone who has taken a class at Lauren Kent Painting School or has prior experience painting with oils.

MISSING CLASS: 

If possible, please give advance notice if you will need to miss a class. Those who would like to make up missed classes have the option to join a make-up class session on Sunday, June 2.

MATERIALS:

Option 1: All paints, mediums, canvas boards, and use of brushes are included in the cost and are available in the studio. Students purchase and bring their own additional canvases and painting surfaces.

Option 2: Students purchase and bring all of their own materials, canvases, and painting surfaces. Click here for the material shopping list.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Classes may require a minimum of three students to run. In the case that class is cancelled, students will be invited to join a different class or have their order refunded in full.

Class payments may be refunded for the full amount paid, minus a $20 processing fee, or future class credit, if advance notice is given at least two weeks before the class start date. No refund or credit will be given if the student withdraws less than two weeks before class begins or is not able to attend due to their own circumstances.
